Company Overview
Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) is a nonprofit veteran service organization. PVA's magazine team manages subscriptions and print shipments for its membership, most of which are complimentary copies sent directly to PVA members. All changes on the Pelcro platform, including subscription and shipment updates, are normally made manually by PVA's own team.
The Challenge
A fulfillment error on PVA's side accidentally doubled the shipments-remaining count on more than 10,000 member accounts, recurring each month until it was caught. Fixing it meant updating the shipments-remaining count back down across a very large number of accounts, work that would otherwise have meant PVA's team changing each account by hand, one at a time.
The Solution
On the recommendation of Pelcro's team, PVA used a free trial of Pelcro's AI Agent to update the affected accounts. Galal, from Pelcro's team, walked PVA's team through how to access the AI Agent and the specific wording needed to get the job done. PVA identified the affected products and plans, exported the relevant subscription lists, and uploaded them into the AI Agent with instructions to adjust the shipments-remaining count by a set amount.
PVA grouped accounts by their starting shipments-remaining value and updated them in batches of up to 200 accounts at a time, running as many rounds as needed to work through the full 10,000-plus affected accounts.
“The process was efficient and considerably less time consuming than me manually changing shipments remaining for each individual account.”
The Results
What would normally have meant opening each account individually instead became a repeatable process PVA's team could run on its own schedule, updating hundreds of accounts per round instead of one at a time.
Time and effort saved
Updating shipments-remaining across more than 10,000 accounts, one at a time, would have meant repeating a manual edit thousands of times over. Batching the updates through Pelcro's AI Agent in groups of up to 200 accounts let PVA's small team fix the error in a fraction of the time, with no added headcount and no outside help.
